Azania in 2300ADIntroductionThis page and its links constitute my personal expansions upon to the nation of Azania in the 2300AD role-playing game produced by the (sadly) now-defunct company Game Designers Workshop. Published in the late 1980's to early 1990's, 2300AD was a role-playing game with a near-future, "Hard Science Fiction" setting. This means that it relied more on realistic settings and postulations about future technologies than most other science fiction role-playing games of its day, and indeed even than most of the science fiction role-playing games of today, over two decades later. Mongoose Publishing is releasing an updated version of 2300AD, and I will be updating the contents of this site based on the changes introduced by Colin Dunn.The RolePlaying section of the site represents Azania in the 2300AD role-playing game. The National section of this site serves to outline "in-character" the national background of Azania in 2300AD. Please note that certain information presented as "factual" in the National Background portion of this site is purely fictional and intended for entertainment purposes only. Please note that this page is a work-in-progress, and many links and sections remain unfinished at this time. The next section is a National overview of Azania. This section gives an overview of the nation, government, people, colonies, history, economy, and military of Azania in the setting of the game 2300AD. The National Overview section is also the main reference for Azania in the Grand Game 2. Of course, this introductory gateway wouldn't be complete without a page of links to various 2300AD resources around the web. Unfortunately at the moment that means that it remains incomplete. |
